Eurosat to distribute the Sky High Definition Satellite TV Receiver.
Sky are pioneering HD in the UK. With the imminent launch of Sky HD they will offer the widest range of HD programmes available in the UK. And, as you'd expect, Eurosat is distributing the Sky HD receiver to the UK Independent Trade via its network of nationwide Branches.
What is Sky HD?
Sky HD is television as you have never seen it before, vibrant colour, deep detail, amazing clarity and resonant sound with a Home Cinema System. Sky HD will bring you a cinema-like experience in your own home with sharper, clearer, more vibrant pictures. The Sky HD box will include all the Sky+ functionality that over 1 million customers in the UK already enjoy. With the ability to record two channels at the same time, it even lets you pause and rewind live TV.
In addition the Sky HD box will be the only way to record and playback Sky HD TV in full digital HD quality.

What do I need?
Sky HD is designed to work with TVs that carry the HD Ready label. You will need to buy a new Sky HD box and the relevant Sky, Sky+ and Sky HD subscriptions to enjoy the best Sky HD has to offer.
What can I watch?
When Sky HD launches this year it will have the widest range of HD programming in the UK.
- From Sky Sports HD - Live Barclays Premiership Football in HD offering Dolby 5.1 sound, Guinness Premiership Rugby in HD and Live domestic, test and one day cricket played in England.
- From Sky Movies HD - Two HD screens showing all films in HD.
- From Sky One HD - A selection of must see shows and cutting edge series in HD.
- From Artsworld HD - A selection of Artsworld opera, ballet and classical music in HD.
- From National Geographic HD - innovative factual programming produced in the UK and around the world, covering natural history, wildlife, science and world exploration. Programmes include Oceans of Glass, Earth Shock: Volcano and Megastructures with the added benefit of Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.
- Discovery HD will offer exclusive content from Discovery's extensive worldwide library of more than 1,000 hours of high-definition programming.
- From Sky Box Office HD - Movie fans will be able to choose from up to ten HD Box Office movies a week.
